Mike Gottfried

Mike Gottfried rolled out consistent winners at three major programs before turning his attention toward a career in broadcasting and charitable efforts to help young men whose fathers were not part of their lives. Gottfried’s teams at Murray State, Cincinnati, Kansas and Pittsburgh went a combined 75-56-34, and his final team in Pittsburgh finished ranked 17th in the nation in 1989. He left coaching after that season to work as an analyst for ESPN and later started a foundation to provide guidance and support for young men: Team Focus.
