Brady Morningstar Fails Hard at Free Throw Line

Brady Morningstar Fails Hard at Free Throw Line

Look at the picture up above. Would you believe that's a free throw--and that the ball was already in decline? Yes, you'll want to watch the video.

First, let's set the scene a bit. After a series of unusual calls, Morningstar had one free throw to take before Texas had two on account of a Cole Aldrich technical foul--what's that? Okay, fine, we'll just get to the damned video:

Our favorite part, of course, is the attempt to go ahead and shoot it again. While it seems like a mix of desperation and flusterment (that's definitely not a word, but until there's a word that means "the state of being flustered," we're using "flusterment" and you can't stop us), we think it was actually a clever allusion to Calvin and Hobbes. Remember this? Same deal, except basketball. Obviously, Morningstar was giving a nod to the reclusive comic writer Bill Watterson, who just gave his first interview in 20 years. Obviously.

Either that, or he was trying the world's first self-alley-oop free throw. But that seems prohibitively difficult, considering Morningstar couldn't jump. On account of the whiteness, we mean.
