Boise State Marching Band Girl Isn't Funny, She's Blind

During halftime of Boise State's puketastic win over TCU in the Fiesta Bowl, America got its first glimpse at Boise State's "Sad Cowbell Girl," who made the face you see above while performing in the marching band's halftime show. Hey, funny, weird, she grimaced on national TV instead of fake-smiling like a cheerleader. So strange, right?

You may have to excuse her lack of self-awareness when it comes to being seen on television, though; according to SB Nation and a Boise State student, the as-yet-nameless young lady is freaking blind you a-holes (you can see here with her dog here):

To everybody talking bout "Sad cowbell girl" please be nice. She's a blind student at Boise State and the nicest girl.

Well... crap. Now that Facebook group and all its crude Photoshops don't really seem as cool anymore. Oh well. But maybe it's time for one last look at the joke that almost was...

Sigh. If only you'd just been socially maladjusted instead of actually literally handicapped.
