If South Florida’s mascot wasn’t the bull already, it should be now. Ask Florida State’s Tavares Pressley if he could describe Jon Lejiste’s hit on him using any word other than “gored”.

Hits don’t always have to be on a ball carrier, as you can see from this block on a Miami punt return against Georgia Tech. Being laid out on the Florida Marlin's infield can't make that feel any better.

This hit from Florida State’s Jarmon Fortson has a little bit of everything. It comes after an interception, ends a return, pops a helmet off, causes a fumble and brings the two teams to the brink of fighting. Not bad for a wide receiver.

You know it is a hard hit when the one that throws it is the one crawling away afterwards. It was helmet to helmet and given the offense 15 yards but Arkansas receivers thought twice about catching anything for the rest of the night.

To say Texas Tech’s Jamar Wall hit Oklahoma State’s Zac Robinson would be an understatement. If you can hit someone hard enough to make them ignore ball security, you make the list.

Michigan State’s Jeremy Ware lowers the boom on Iowa’s Colin Sandeman. Extra points for it being open field.

We even watch D-I AA football when nothing else is on. Montana’s Keith Thompson de-cleats App State’s Matt Cline.

Arizona State’s Vontaze Burfict freight trains Iowa State’s Russell Hill. If you don’t know the name Burfict yet, ask Pac 10 quarterbacks. They know him all too well.

Not only is Texas Tech QB Taylor Potts hit, he is crushed by Texas’ Sergio Kindle. 225lbs of Long Horn crashed down on Potts. His helmet pops off like the cap on a rolled up tube of toothpaste.

Tim Tebow gets TKO’d against Kentucky. You know it was a hard hit when the victim is seen throwing up in a bag as he is carted away from the field.

Honorable Mention: Not technically a hit but without a doubt the most painful video on the list.

You should embed a poll for people to vote on which one of these hits was the biggest.

I'm sorry, but no Major Wright hit on Manny Johnson?? Technically it was 2009, or atleast it never got the attention for 2008. And even as an OK fan, it was ridic.

Florwood says:
I'd add Clawson's hit on Bradford in the BYU-Oklahoma game, which put Bradford out of the game and started their slide.
