Brandon Spikes suspension has been announced by the Florida Gators, and it is exactly what you would expect from a team that still wants to win the national title is concerned with clean on-field play: one half.

That's right. 30 minutes of football. Urban Meyer announced the suspension on Monday, following Spike's surge in national, ahem, popularity (as of this writing, "Brandon Spikes Eye Gouging" was the No. 1 trend on the old Googles.) The SEC is "investigating" and that could mean more punishment I suppose, although even with all the suspensions they've handed out this year, it almost seems a little unlikely given that he's already being handed a punishment from the team.

So, yeah, note to self: next time someone's being a pain in the ass at work, just jump into their cubicle, grope their face and jab them repeatedly in the eye socket. The worst thing that can happen is you get a half day off from the whole weekday gig.
